Over the years, advancement of technology has led to an increase in research and development of IoT devices. The healthcare sector is one of the most affected by IoT devices. IoT healthcare devices presents a new option to treat patients. IoT healthcare devices range from pacemakers to remote patient monitoring and wearable devices. However, IoT devices are connected to the Internet. This means that IoT devices may be in risk of cyber-attacks that can steal sensitive patient data and medical records. In this paper, potential technologies and techniques that can improve the overall security posture of IoT devices will be reviewed. Previous security frameworks by past researchers will also be highlighted for their effectiveness in improving IoT security.
